Updates
The goal for reading these books is to translate their information into knowledge, that knowledge into wisdom, and that wisdom into tangible value. Here are the actions I've taken since reading the first two books to start applying what I've learned:
Ultralearning
What I’ve done:
I used the inspiration that came from reading the book to start new learning projects that I probably wouldn’t have otherwise:
Started to learn how to sing and play "The Dance And The Wonder" by Sam Garrett on ukulele (will share a video in a future email)
Started teaching myself a programming language and framework (Dart and Flutter) to build an app idea I've had for awhile
What I still plan to do:
Create specific learning plans for both projects, with learning maps, deliverables and delivery dates. I'm going to map the programming project to the fuller Ultralearning framework and use more of the tools mentioned in the book.
Show Your Work
What I’ve done:
I created these book analyses and emails to show my reading/learning journey over the course of this year
I’ve started to share what I’m working on with my friends and family by word of mouth
What I still plan to do:
I’m considering setting up an event on zoom where anyone interested can jump on the call and give a 5 min presentation on what they are working on (if that sounds interesting to you, let me know!)
Build a website to persist the things I’m sharing in these emails, and to use as a launch pad for other projects
