Week 17 - Three Simple Steps

Hey!

This is the message I wrote a few weeks ago when I was getting ready to send the previous email. There is a stark contrast between where I was at when I wrote it, and where I am now, but I share it with the intention of supporting anyone who is going through something similar. You are not alone:

"I've been making some big changes in my life recently, and have found myself caught in self-reinforcing upper limit behaviors over the past few weeks. Upper limit behaviors are the ways we self-sabotage when we make changes to our lives that actually shift the homeostasis of our comfort zone: for me, the most common manifestations are spending big chunks of time unconsciously swiping through various apps and watching youtube videos.

It also shows up as self-isolation, forgetting my goals and visions of the future that excite me, not working out, skating by on candy and coffee instead of eating food, and going to bed really late: all things that I can do unconsciously that give me some hit of dopamine while I distract myself from commitments that move me forward.

All of these things served me in some way in the past, but now feel deeply out of alignment in spite of the "rewards" they give me. Ultimately, these actions are a good sign because those parts of me that desire this behavior know they are going away as I fundamentally phase into this higher embodiment of the Self.

I'm really grateful to Austin O'Neal, who helped me see these actions through a lens other than self-judgment, as well as to everyone who has supported me and reached out in the past few weeks to check in."

Alex Hormozi  - Alex Hormozi started a series of gyms, and has grown his business to a portfolio of companies that, as of writing this, do about ~$100M in revenue. There is something about his content that really resonates: his content seems to be flavored with the best parts of Charlie Munger,  Warren Buffet, Naval Ravikant, and his own experiences.

Kucoin - Kucoin is a crypto exchange that people in the crypto space may be familiar with; it's one of the largest that does not require KYC (Personal identifying information). There on lots of different exchanges, but the reason I'm sharing about Kucoin here is I just found out they have a feature called "Futures Brawl" where you can 1v1 and 3v3 other people and teams trading futures. They have leaderboards, and are basically turning the process of trading Futures Contracts into a video game. I don't plan on doing it, but knowing that exists just makes me really happy for some reason.

Retro Scifi Art - This IG account lights up my imagination.  The content in the images  evokes powerful feelings when imagining the universe that must exist for the specific moments captured in the art to exist; it also makes me think about how different the future could and probably will be from the way I imagine it right now.

In Closing..

Please sign them up without telling them...

I'm just kidding.

If you think they'd like this stuff, it would mean a lot to me if you shared this link with them:
